at people who believe it’s okay to attack someone behind the keys of a computer. If you’re going to talk shit about me? Own it. Have the guts to stand behind your words and identify yourself, you feckless cowards. You attack me and hide? That says more about you than it does about me. My inclination is to tell you to go fuck yourself.
No cheers tonight,
I would love to say I’m happy today, but that’s not the case. The senseless massacre of innocent people…most of them children…never makes me happy. I’m actually stymied by the events of May 22. Why would someone target a concert full of kids and their parents who went out for a treat as the school year ends? Why would anyone target children who haven’t yet formed hatred in their hearts? Why would anyone do something so horrific to people who weren’t expecting the devil to show?
That’s one I want to hear answered.
There are no cheers tonight, my friends.
“A Valentine’s Quest” comes out today!! Cheers!
until I publish the second book in The Valentine’s Trilogy. “A Valentine’s Quest” is about the next steps in Derek and Gray’s journey…
I, Derek Little Hawk Valentine, Detective with Houston Police Department in the Vice Squad, met and fell for the love of my life, Gray Carson. Somehow, the man fell in love with me as well, and we’ve made a happy, loving home together. Our life was shaping up to be great…for the most part.
Unfortunately, there was still a killer out there who had killed two people, one of whom Gray cared for deeply, and one, a stranger who left me with more questions than answers. I needed to find the person who was responsible for the death of Andrew Corner, and who might be a danger to the man I loved, and I needed to do it sooner than later because until I could keep him safe, I couldn’t take the next steps I so desperately wanted. Keeping my Gray safe and finding Andrew’s killer became my charge, and I was determined I’d achieve my goal. I wasn’t one to give up because my prize was far too priceless to fail my quest.
I hope you’ll give it a read.
to become caught up in social media. In order to promote my books, I took the advice of several other authors and signed up for social media (Twitter and Facebook. I’m not cool enough for Instagram or Snap), and I’m starting to become obsessed. It just goes non-stop and the people I follow are funny so I don’t want to miss anything. When I get a “like” for a comment I’ve made, it’s like praise and I’m becoming a praise-seeker! I can understand how people lose hours a day on social media. I’m going to try not to succumb, but the temptation is hard to deny…
Hope you’re enjoying your Friday.
“Loving the Lawyer” is now available on Amazon! Thanks to my reader, Gen; my cover artist, chyna_creatives; and Lyubomyr, my formatting editor. Without them, the book wouldn’t be the same. It will be available on Kindle Unlimited once I can access my account and figure out which button I didn’t flip.
I truly appreciate the support I’ve received from those people who started reading my stuff on FictionPress or even FanFiction. Much love and happiness to each of you.
I also appreciate the support from my family. They don’t yell at me anymore when I close my eyes and type away as I’m working on a new story. In the beginning I think they thought I’d developed narcolepsy!
“A Valentine’s Quest” will be coming out in a few weeks. I hope you’ll check out these two books and I’d love to have you review both stories.
