Trilationship? Tri-Curious?

Act_One_3D

If it’s so hard for two men to meet and fall in love, what are the chances it could happen for three men?

Kincade Hayes was starting his adult life in Chicago, having moved downtown to be close to his new job working for a highly successful trader.  The position wasn’t glamorous, but everybody had to start somewhere.  Upon moving into his new studio apartment, he met his new neighbors, Branford X. Thomas and Jackson Delacroix.  The men were absolutely stunning, and Cade was anxious to get to know them.  He had no idea the changes the two men would bring into his life.

Branford X. Thomas owned “Fairy Tales,” a gay nightclub in Andersonville, a neighborhood in Chicago.  Ford and Jackson Delacroix had been a couple for ten years, but they had finally come to the realization that if they didn’t make some changes, it would be time to close the curtain on their romance though neither man wanted to end their love affair.  One afternoon, Ford helped a young man with a box of stemware and he believed he had the perfect compromise for the fading relationship with Jackson.  He knew getting Jax on board with the plan would take a creative pitch, but Ford was dedicated to the cause.  It would solve their biggest problem, he was sure.

Jackson Delacroix, number 79, left defensive tackle for the Chicago NFL team had a ton of problems on his broad shoulders which were taking a toll.  Jax and his boyfriend had been photographed having a heated kiss while on vacation in Mexico.  His solution to diffuse the pending splash the media would make of the news?  Go to minicamp and hold a press conference to tell the world he was a gay man in the NFL.  The team didn’t know what to do with him, but he was necessary to the success of the coming season so he wouldn’t be cut or sent down.  All he had to do was get through the next several months without being photographed with another man and he could enter free agency and hopefully get a contract in a city much friendlier to those who flew the rainbow flag.  When his boyfriend came up with what he believed to be the perfect solution to one of the problems they had in their relationship, Jax wasn’t sure it was the right step to take until he met the solution in person.

This story the first act of three as Cade, Ford, and Jax try to meld three separate lives into one lovely love affair…together.  There are many ups and downs, but their end goal is the same.  Unfortunately, blending three lives into one isn’t easy, as they soon come to learn.  Whose idea was it anyway?

I grew up in the rural Midwest before moving to the East Coast with a dashing young man who swept me off my feet, and we've now settled in the desert of Nevada. I write M/M contemporary romance, subgenres: sweet low angst, age-gap, cowboys, mysteries, and military/mercenary to name a few. I am a firm believer in "Love is Love" regardless of how it presents itself, and I'm a staunch ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. I have a loving, supportive family, and I feel blessed by the universe and thankful every day for all I have been given. I’m old enough to know how to have fun, but too old to care what others think about my definition of a good time. In my heart and soul, I believe I hit the cosmic jackpot. Cheers!
